Carly Dalberg

Graduate Assistant for Gender Violence Prevention

Carly is OCEM’s Graduate Assistant for Gender Violence Prevention. Carly’s role involves overseeing OCEM’s social media accounts, promoting the services provided by OCEM, and organizing events and presentations that provide continued education regarding gender violence prevention.

Carly is a first-year graduate student in UNI’s Clinical Mental Health Counseling Program.  She graduated from The University of Iowa in May 2023 with a degree in Psychology and Journalism and Mass Communication. Carly chose UNI because of the welcoming environment that faculty and staff provided during her graduate school search process.  Carly’s career goals are to work with children, teens, and young adults as a licensed counselor in Iowa. In her free time, Carly enjoys reading, cross-stitching, playing her Nintendo Switch, and spending time with her partner. Carly was interested in working for OCEM because she wanted to learn more about how to prevent discrimination, harassment, and sexual misconduct on UNI’s campus. These are issues Carly may encounter when working with clients during her career and wants to gain more knowledge about what she can do to help.
